Creation and Strategy

  • NWS Media is the media producing, publishing and broadcasting arm of the New World Symphony. Activities under the NWS Media umbrella include digitally streamed concerts, recordings, and other programming that is designed for broadcast.  John, working with NWS staff, created and set the strategy for this new department within NWS in the middle months of 2020.  It was a response to the pandemic as NWS desired to strengthen its connection with current patrons and to foster loyalty.  This has carried forth into the post pandemic NWS seeks to continuously build new audiences and to extend its reach globally with a systematic and coordinated approach to distribute digital products that are both artistic and educational in accordance with the three principal elements of NWS’ strategic plan – sustainability, visibility, and differentiation.
